In recent years, Ron Lewis has also been working to help disadvantaged children at home and around the world. He and his wife Lynette founded Stop Child Trafficking Now, an organization dedicated to bringing awareness and raising funds to fight the heinous crime of child sexual slavery. He founded the Youth Life Foundation of the Triangle, an award-winning educational and tutorial ministry to impoverished children in the inner city of Durham.
In 2007, Ron helped establish a U.S.-based home in the Raleigh-Durham area for the African Children's Choir. This home serves as a permanent base of operations where the orphans of the choir can live while touring around the USA each year. The ACC is a world-famous traveling ministry comprised entirely of African orphans aged 7-11 who have lost their parents from war, famine, or disease, most notably HIV/AIDS. For more information on ACC, visit the websites of The Friends of Mirembe or The African Childrens Choir.
